I had originally intended to share this early last month but life being the unpredictable entity it is, I didn’t quite make it. However, I wanted to share information and links about a new documentary coming soon from Casey Florig. Those fans who have visited the site for a while no doubt recognize Casey’s name. He has allowed me to share many, many pictures he’s taken of various filming locations as well as a few videos he has made.
The Dead Affect is a documentary he’s working on which takes an in-depth look at the affect The Walking Dead has on the small towns and communities where it films. If his past videos are any indication, The Dead Affect promises to be an informative and entertaining look at how the production changes the communities which draw so much fan attention.
Being someone who has followed the show, and the filming locations, since the first season, I’ve always enjoyed seeing how the show affects the small towns where it films. These are towns, some of them anyway, which if it weren’t for the show, most people would never know they existed. Fans would drive right through them without slowing down while en route to larger towns which are somewhat more recognizable. These small towns have some really great residents, fans of the show, and many things to offer in their own right. Make sure to watch the trailer at the official site below.
