Senoia Filming Location Video

As we mentioned in an earlier post, AMC’s The Walking Dead is filming in various locations this week around Senoia, GA. ¬† Thanks again to James Blackwood, who lives in the area, for sending us this video of the filming setup this evening. ¬†Granted it’s difficult to get any actual plot ideas from this video, but it does an excellent job of showing just how large a production filming for the show actually is.

This site is REALLY cool! We are heading down to Atlanta from Ohio this June (last week of June)- are they typically still shooting until then?

Thanks for all your hard work!!

    • They’re supposed to start filming some time in May, so they’ll definitely still be filming when you’re in the area. We’ll do our best to keep upcoming filming dates/locations updated for everyone, and thank you!

    Good Day:
My family and I live in Ontario, Canada, and are LOVERS of the show. We are going to be in Georgia over the holidays and we were hoping to see the set of the show; and characters. I am wondering if this is still possible? By the way, my ten year old son, Alex, simply adores the character Darryl and thinks he is awesome. Great writers on this show. First show I have seen in decades that is worth TV time!!!!
    Respectfully
    Donna

    • Unfortunately filming has wrapped for the season so all sets, cast, and crew are pretty much gone at this point. Filming and casting for extras likely won’t begin until the spring and the cast usually doesn’t return until just before filming begins as well.

However, if you’re in the area and are looking to visit some of the sites they use, please take a look at our Google Maps which shows the actual location of all known filming locations, that we’ve seen, through both seasons.
