As most fans of The Walking Dead know filming began this week as the cast and crew returned to Georgia for season three of the AMC series. We don’t know all of the locations but we have mentioned a few in recent weeks. They were filming today (Tuesday, May 8th) near Reese Road and Odom Road in Turin, GA. Here’s a pic from that filming where Daryl (Norman Reedus) is visible (thanks to follower Jon Bealles for the pic).

I’m making this post so that anyone who sees filming, hears about locations, or has information about future filming sites and wishes to share can do so in the comments section below. If you do not wish to make information public, feel free to email us.

A big production is currently set up in downtown Newnan. No confirmation that it’s TWD, but should continue tomorrow as everything is still set up and they had security guards walking around tonight.
I am pretty sure that is for the show “Drop Dead Diva”. They put out a casting call this weekend and said that they would be filming in downtown Newnan this week.
Yes, the filming at the square in Newnan was Drop Dead Diva, I passed by there and saw them.
I’m seeing multiple tweets regarding filming in east Tennessee? I’m not believing it since the entire show has been filmed in GA, and it’s a Sunday. Also, there is apparently a exterior Prison set ‘somewhere’ in Coweta, they built it deep in a forest. I
There’s no telling and I wouldn’t put it past them. It’d be a hell of a thing to hide for long, though.
I can confirm that there is a exterior prison set in Coweta…..it’s at the studio, along with the interior sets of the prison. I was there today and I have to say, it is very, very cool!

They are getting ready to shoot in senoia, on main st. There are several signs saying thank you for not cutting the grass.

Does anyone have the actual address in Coweta? Also, if anyone has some other addresses where they filmed other episodes please pass them on. I live in Dallas, but I have trip coming up for work the middle of June and I was hoping to catch them filming the best show in dead legs!!!

Not sure what you’re looking for the address to, but every location we know of is plotted, as accurately as possible, on our Google Map.

Yes, if you can get to where they’re filming they will normally let you watch from a distance. There’s normally security present to keep fans at a distance, especially during filming.

I work at Great South Harley Davidson on hey 16 in Newnan. I have been told they will be filming on Turkey Creek Road that’s off of 16. Hope to meet some of the cast!

I haven’t heard about anything for the 7th or 8th yet. They could possibly be in Senoia or at the studio.
We are traveling from Colorado, and have spent time in FL visiting family. We are returning to Atlanta on Monday, June 4, but would love to make a sidetrip to see what ya’ll are up to before we fly back to Colorado on Wednesday. I honestly don’t know where they’ll be tomorrow, Pati. They may be in Senoia or the surrounding area. Since I haven’t heard of any filming notices, they may be in the studio as well. If I hear anything before tomorrow, I’ll update.

update from shoting location today.may include spoilers so dont read anymore.my son got to meet carl today.2 troop carriers one humve,and gatline guns lots of zombies.it was a closed set unless you lived here today.i am not sure if they will be back tommrow.but will be back before end of season.it was dead oak sorry about that.also rising star and rowe rd.thats all i ll give for now.dont want to ruin the show.happy zombie hunting.

got lots of nice shots of the Woodbury signage last night when they were suppose to be filming (posted to my twitter @s1ngxthexs0rr0w). waited till about 1145 and the cops came around and said everything would be closed until 10am? (all i heard was “see y’all at 10am”) plan on visiting multiple times until filming is suppose to wrap Friday morning. Went by this morning at 540am and nothing but security guards
That’s a bummer, Justin. Senoia Coffee and other businesses are still open during filming(back entrance), maybe you can watch from there?
@ryan its an idea, the tricky part is getting there when they are actually filming. my stop times today are probably going to be 430pm, 11pm, 2am, and 530am

Those are great photos that you took of Woodbury. From the comic book series, the Town of Woodbury was very dirty and this town looks very clean. I guess I will have to wait and see how they film Season 3 on A&E.

Yeah she was in a hurry .. My wife wanted to follow her but we saw she was headed for the gate.. We got a decent picture of Merle and a great shot of Glen Mazzara (exec producer) yesterday morning. It was loads of fun ..Hope to do it again before this filming season is over.Can’t wait for the new season to air.

New photos of Merle were released today by AMC. Looks like Merle will be The Governor’s right hand man. As Merle will be portraying the character as Martinez from the comic book series.
We are on a cross country driving trip and have planned a few nights stay at High Falls State Park, hoping to catch some of the filming (hopefully still ongoing). Any information on when or where they will be filming from the 24th-27th of June??
I’m not sure about those dates, Chris. I haven’t heard anything. The only dates I know of upcoming are in Newnan on 6/22 or 6/28-6/29. If I hear anything, I’ll pass it along.

I was told by TWD locations that it would be 57 E. Broad St..They just were not sure if it would be Thur or Fri or both of this week.
They are setting up filming RIGHT NOW for tonight on my street (east broad st.). I will link any photos i have from tonight to you.

Back in May I was in Atlanta putting together some filming location videos for seasons 1 and 2. I’m still editing those, but I also stopped by the street in Senioa that is standing in for Woodbury. At the time I was there, it was still unconfirmed that it was the actual location, so it wasn’t set dressed yet, but if you’d like to see the video:

Hi I got some more news about another shoting date.It will be here on my road july 24th from 3am till 9pm.I recived another letter Friday.Thats gonna be Rising Star RD. and dead oak Rd.Last time they blocked it off but was able to see and meet some of the actors.I will come back and let you guys know of what i see on the 24th.i will not give out to much info as not to ruin season for know one.If anyone is gonna come down this way .Its on ga hwy 85 south about 6 miles south of Senoia.Now be for warn last time their was cops blocking the road so good luck.

yea we drove by, (we live down the road) and its completely barricaded by police, u cant see anything not even the trailers or trucks..they must blocked it off miles up from where they are all actually at! bummer!
We actually got through to a certain point. Met Norman and Andrew. They posed for a couple pictures. It was definitely worth the drive.

i couldnt get through but i did go back up to senoia they will closing it off again for more filming july 26-27 5am to 7am the next morning.

we couldnt see much think it might be some sort of army base.we did see torches they are still filming as i speak.they are on the dirt road now.they set up at the rail road tracks.

Looks like they’re going to be in Senoia again this week, at least Wednesday and Thursday (15th and 16th). They’re in Haralson, GA tonight from 5PM until 7AM tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Not sure about anything Friday yet.

Yes there filming here again right now.Dead Oak Rd.Rising Star Rd. 5 miles South of Senoia on Ga 85.I hear what sounds like Jets outside but not sure.Letter said it was a complex scene today.Will be filming till 10 pm other roads on letter includes dead oak between hardy rd and aaron todd rd. and also rising star rdbetween ga 85 and rowe rd.
I rode up to senoia last thursday morning and i went home down old 85 through meriwether. They’re was alot of detour signs up but no filming until today.Are u not allowed to go down some of those roads. Please let me know.
