Prison Set Photo

As I mentioned earlier, due to the location of the prison set it is incredibly difficult, if not downright impossible, to obtain pictures of it without studio permission.  However, thanks to John, we now have a photo of the set which I’ve been given permission to share with everyone.  Anyone who has seen the Raleigh Studios Atlanta location via Google Maps may recognize this view somewhat.   Thank you John for the photo and for allowing me to share it with other fans of The Walking Dead.

Unfortunately I don’t know exactly who took the photo, or when, but it’s obviously been since the prison set was built at the back of the studio, so some time this spring/summer I’m guessing.

Seriously considering a trip to GA to visit locations. The prison is at the top of my list. I’ve been looking at the videos and maps available and don’t see how difficult it’d be to cut through the woods southwest of it or go up beside the railroad tracks coming from southeast. Unless there are guards on that track leading right by it, that would be even easier. If someone wants to enlighten me to any dangers of either of these routes, I’m all ears.

The location of the prison is Chestlehurst Road, Senoia, GA, United States, North America

I will probably go back out there next week with a friend of mine; possibly thursday. I have a pretty good idea as to what direction to head. Should be fun. I’ll keep y’all updated.

  7. Then trek through the woods it is! I’ll get pics next year. You have no idea how “ninja” I can be.

i was out there earlier today; got to the front gates and that was it. you could probably trek thru the woods and get a shot, but they’re pretty thick.

  9. I was SO close last month. You can get as far as the railroad tracks leading into the studio.
