Here we go with the next installment of fan photos we’ve received.  This rather large batch of photos is courtesy of R.J. Dean.  RJ was in Georgia back in August and with the help of the site was able to go by and take photos of many of the locations.

Thank you very much to RJ for taking these pictures, allowing us to share them with all the fans, and for the information he’s provided below.  I’m going to pass RJ’s comments along directly from him:

NEW shot locations from season 3: I saw quite a few shots from the new season of shooting and even found something that I didnt find on your site. There is a large fenced area about 100 feet from Main St that houses a TON of the vehicles for shots that you see in the trailer. Cars and SUVs loaded up with supplies, etc. and the grey “apocalypse” barricade buses and tire gate that is on the semi bed. There are also some props that you will see that have Woodbury marked all over them. I also got tons of shots of the front and back of the Woodbury City Hall building and the other fake businesses that they have left up for shooting including the Bank of Woodbury.

Carrier Bar/Sharpsburg Auction house. I actually got to spend a good amount of time with the owner talking about how the production company rented her space for around 3-4 months and completely removed every item from the place and stored it in the meantime. She even had pictures hanging on the wall she took of what it looked like after they transformed it. The coolest part is, she became a fan while they were shooting (they let her watch the whole thing!) so after they left, she kept the blood stains on the floor from when Rick shot the two guys down!

One thing I would note is, she has had a lot of trouble with people coming and vandalizing her property to get pictures and take souvenirs, maybe you can mention on the site that most of these locations are private property or businesses that are just trying to function. She was super nice and let me take all the pictures that I wanted inside and out and ask questions. She also said that Jon Berenthal “Shane” was really nice.

Steves Pharmacy. Not too much difference between the pics you already have. The signs have been removed and there is another business inside now called Toodles. The Sharpsburg Auction owner told me they built the fence that Randal impaled his leg on next to it, but its now been removed.

Elders Mill in last episode. Stopped by here and got some good shots, I also go pics of the owner Donalds info.

Public Work Building. Just some updated shots.

Hershels Farm. Was REALLY hoping to get inside here, and I actually could have… But I wanted to respect the owners. The gate was open and is a clear shot all the way down the driveway. Got a shot of the driveway entrance, lol.

Raleigh Studios. Stopped by here and called them as well and spoke to some people. They confirmed they were shooting scenes at the studio for the Prison scene that day and I spoke to the really nice guard gate lady for a while!

Thats about it, the one thing the local businesses said was the place that the cast and crew will go most is the Senoia coffee and cafe. The actor who frequents the town most is Norman Reedus.

I’m going to put RJ’s pics behind the jump so it doesn’t fill up the main page, but if you’re viewing just this page, they’ll all be together.

Thanks a lot for the thanks. I had a great time locating some of these places, it was kind of a cool scavenger hunt for a few hours and with the help of your site I was able to find a lot quickly!

I wonder if some of those cars were the same ones that were used in the traffic jam in season two?

1st let me say i’ve been lurking this site for awhile now. i got to give thanks to whoever its running it!!!just so you know, it makes my day just seeing/reading new stuff from here…again THANKS a lot and please keep at it!! :D

That blue Pontiac Grand Prix on here http://walkingdeadlocations.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/file-24.jpeg its the same one parked on the front road of the Woodbury main gate/barrier….which its also used on the last episode of Season 2 “beside the dying fire”.
you can see it on the background on the scene:when Daryl picks-up Carol on the bike as they drive away(on the dirt road) from the farm. :) i’m a car geek.

ps:notice daryls bike has a “off-road” front tire on this scene, then when they get to the highway(where they broke done),you can see the normal street tire on his motorcycle.

    • Thanks for the comments, Jonathan!

You know, you’re the only other person I’ve heard from who mentioned that front tire on Daryl’s bike. I noticed it right away, but then I tend to look at little stuff like that.

Thanks for the info about the Grand Prix as well!
