Interior Photos of Bethel UMC

When I originally went to Bethel United Methodist Church to get location photos, it was a Tuesday afternoon and I was unable to get photos of the interior of the church as no one was present.  Thanks to one of our Twitter followers, Ashley Rowe, we can now post photos of the interior.  According to Ashley, who talked to the church pastor during her visit, the Walking Dead crew brought in the large Christ on the cross and removed a few of the pews but otherwise left the interior intact.

  1. Living in the area, I often get the opportunity to chat with crew of TWD. One of the guys told me that the crucifix was brought in from California. I can’t remember, now, what the weight was but I recall that it was immense. Have to drive by this church each time I go to visit my folks and my sister.

Not to get overly theological, but once I figured out that this was Bethel Methodist I figured the Jesus on the Cross was an added prop. Protestant faiths generally use crosses without the body. Thanks for all your work cataloging these sites. I used to live in the Atlanta area, specifically across from Newnan High School aka the FEMA camp. And watching the show and perusing this site, which I’ve done for about an hour now, :) is like driving around town with friends.

    • Thank you for the information about the church. I hadn’t really thought about that until you mentioned it. :)

I’m glad you’re enjoying looking around the site and thank you for the comments.
