Filming Returning To Griffin, GA This Week

AMC’s The Walking Dead will be filming this week in Griffin, GA.  As some fans will remember, Griffin was the location of the scenes with Rick, Shane, and Randall in the season two episode, “18 Miles Out”.

According to this article from the Griffin Daily News, the crew will be filming on a bridge on Line Creek Road.  However, as the article states, the road will be closed for two days (as well as overnight) and onlookers will be kept at a distance to prevent information about the scenes from being leaked.

This is not far from where I live and it is actually Brooks, GA. This link shows the only bridge that I know of on that road – http://j.mp/OF3ty7 – and it is pretty well surrounded by woods. The closest residence is a little under half a mile West. I may try to run out and get some shots of the bridge before they start filming to see if it matches up once the season begins! Thanks for the heads up!
