Falling Tree Injures Three on 'The Walking Dead' Set

I haven’t been able to find out for sure whether any of those injured were cast members, but a story from the Times-Herald.com site is reporting that three people were injured when a tree fell on a tent on the set of AMC’s The Walking Dead on Monday (7/23/12).

A tree fell on the outdoor set of TV series “The Walking Dead” in Senoia on Monday – sending three people to the hospital.
The Coweta County Fire Department received a call at 4:59 p.m. about the situation. Deputy Fire Chief Todd Moore said the call was “in regards to traumatic injuries resulting from a tree falling.”

Read the entire story here.

We’re hoping everyone involved has a complete, healthy, and speedy recovery.  Having visited most of the shooting locations to date, I’m surprised there haven’t been more accidents.  Some of these filming locations are well out in the wilderness, some in rather rough terrain.

If anyone has any further info please feel free to post in the comments below.

UPDATE:

Both Gale Anne Hurd and Lauren Cohan have tweeted that the three people injured on the set are fine, aside from a concussion.

From Gale Anne Hurd (via Twitter):

@AstridJMF @WalkingDeadview@glenmazzara @GunnerGale everyone is fine, thankfully!

From Lauren Cohan (via Twitter):

@liberatingdixon: I read a tree fell on set of TWD, I hope everyone’s okay!”thank u for that! yes 3 people w/concussion but ok thank g:-))
