"Bar" Location Photos

In episodes eight and nine of the second season, Rick and Glenn travel to a bar, in town near Hershel’s barn, to retrieve Hershel who had gone missing. After retrieving Hershel, the group is set upon by some strangers causing a shootout with the strangers as well as fending off walkers to save their lives.

The building which served as the bar in these scenes is actually the Old Sharpsburg Auction building in Sharpsburg, GA.

Thanks to Daniel Lewis, who emailed us these recent photos of the location, the building can be seen as it normally stands when not being used to fend off dangerous strangers and zombie hordes.

I love the prominent use of Sweetwater Brewing imagery (and less prominent use of Wild Heaven Craft Beers imagery — mostly a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it tap handle) in this sequence. Drink local, even after the zombie apocalypse! :)

No problem! I wasn’t able to watch “Triggerfinger” until tonight and did not know that they showed the back of the building as well. I will go back later this week and get some shots of that as well.
